Futuremark Brings Updates to 3DMark Vantage

There’s nothing wrong with running an older version given the latest and greatest 3DMark 11 is now the most recent benchmark. It also sparks a reminiscent of the day where most of us were still running 3DMark 06. Anyway, they released an update for 3DMark Vantage yesterday and it improves display compatibility across all pre-sets. In addition, it also disables GPU acceleration by default during CPU tests and Systeminfo gets bumped to 4.0.

Best part however, is that the Basic Edition is now free (previously running for $7) and lets users run an unlimited number of benchmarks without any registration or expiry date. If you happen to already own the Basic Edition, Futuremark says that you can upgrade to the Advanced Edition for only $5 (usually costs $20). You can do that by simply entering your Basic Edition key as the Promo Code for the discount when checking out, but hurry the special deal ends next week at 10:00 GMT on March 21st.
