WD Intros New 6TB Model to My Book Line

Props to Western Digital, as this is the largest external storage unit we’ve seen so far. The new My Book Studio Edition II uses a dual-drive storage system that packs a whopping 6TB of space while preserving the identical form factor as their predecessors. It also supports eSATA, FireWire 800/400, and USB 2.0 connectivity, along with backup software and a capacity gauge on the exterior to show how much space is on the unit. Something to mention is that it’s also compatible with Apple’s Time Machine, but it does make us wonder why they didn’t include Thunderbolt or even USB 3.0 at least especially when it packs such the capacity. Price? Available now for $549.99.
