Windows 8 to Include USB-bootable Portable Workspaces

Remember when we covered that Microsoft sent early builds to OEMs? We covered a couple features that might ship with the future OS, but here’s another and it’s supposedly called “Portable Workspaces”.

So here’s the deal, there are ways where you can make Windows bootable from a USB flash drive. Now look’s like they’ll be introducing it as an actual feature for Windows 8 – there are some requirements and questions that are left unanswered. First you’ll need at least a 16GB storage drive, and we’re unsure of how many copies you can create or if they will have an expiry date. In the meantime, we’ll have to sit tight and look forward to what the next iteration of Windows brings us.
